For the past two weeks, I have been suffering from maybe one of the worst flus I’ve ever had. It’s not the sickest I have ever been but it was such a weird flu. I had basically every symptom there is, plus a 12 day headache. I probably should have gone to the doctor, but they scare me. I’m finally on the verge of getting better with the exception of a sore throat and a slight dizziness but let’s just all hope I’m back to normal in time for finals!
I haven’t done an outfit post in a while. Ideally, I would love for my blog to concentrate just on fashion. But living in Edmonton, I have yet to figure out a foolproof way to photograph outfits in -40℃ weather. Every outfit would just feature a parka and Uggs. However, today the weather wasn’t bad so I sucked it up and stepped outside for a few minutes.
I love wearing dresses as tunics in the winter. There’s something about long shirts that are just so comfy. This one is from Forever 21 and is a speckled green color. I wore it with plain black jeans and threw a plaid jacket overtop. For jewelry, I’m wearing a new silver statement necklace from Urban Outfitters, my Marc Jacobs watch and some silver bracelets.
I had a dilemma trying to figure out what shoes to wear. Normally, I would wear black booties with black jeans, but there was just something off about black boots with this outfit. So I decided to break my rule of no brown and black together and wore these brown boots instead. I think they worked well with the earthy tones of my shirt and the brown buttons on my coat.
Or, maybe I’m wrong and the fashion police are going to hunt me down. #yolo.
