One of my favourite things about being on Christmas break is spending time with my friends and absorbing that holiday spirit. I don’t think absorbing is the right word, but you catch my drift. There’s something about exploring the city at night that makes me so happy and sentimental.
On this particular night, my friends and I decided to take a trip downtown to check out the Christmas lights for the annual Celebrate the Season light-up at the Legislature. I’ve never really walked around the grounds at night during Christmas before. My family usually just drives around the grounds from the comfort of our warm car with Christmas carols playing softly in the background. However, walking around with my friends was significantly better! There are over 300 trees lit up and it’s truly a beautiful atmosphere.
I really like Christmas. And Christmas trees. And colourful lights. And cold nights. (Hey that rhymed, let’s turn this into a poem).
