Happy Valentine’s Day!

Like many other past years, I am once again going to be single on Valentine’s day this year. However, how could I be upset about that when I have the world’s cutest puppy as my date? I wouldn’t dream of having any other man besides Oakley bringing me chocolates and flowers. He even wore a tie for me. What more could I ask?

I love to dress extra girly on Valentine’s Day. Even though I usually don’t have any exciting plans, I still use this day as an excuse to wear my cutest red and pink clothes. This year, I am going to bake some fun Valentine’s Day inspired treats (you may or may not see them on my blog) and then maybe watch a chick flick or two. I’m also going to be stuck at work in the evening. I think I was the only one willing to work Valentine’s Day, as almost all my coworkers have boyfriends or husbands. Oh well, I’m not complaining, I shall help desperate boys pick out last-minute gifts for their gals.

This dress that I’m wearing doesn’t actually belong to me. I may have stolen it from my bestie, Megan. But how could I resist it? I did help her pick it out so technically, half of this dress is mine. It is a gorgeous deep red number from Topshop. I love how classic the shape is with the modern accents of black exposed zippers on the pockets and the back. Ikept all of my accessories black with black heels, black tights, and a cute oversized black clutch.

So, whether you’re spending Valentine’s Day with your bae, your friends or drinking your sorrows away, I hope you have a lovely time. Don’t mope around and be sad because you don’t have a boy in your life. Valentine’s Day is not a day to be sad. It is a day filled with love. So, love your friends, love your family, and in my case, love your dog, because chances are, they are better than any boy ever will be. Oakley is the only man I’ll ever need.
