To be honest, I probably didn’t need another all-matte eyeshadow palette. I already have the Pur Minerals Soul Mattes Palette (review here) and the Stila Mind (review here) palette and the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 palette (review here) which are all matte palettes as well and I absolutely love them. However, my blogger friends recently shared an online code for the Shopping Channel for $50 off your purchase. I couldn’t say no to free money so I placed an order for this and got it completely for free! UM YES.
I have been wanting to try the It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Vol.1 Palette for the longest time, but being in Canada, there’s nowhere that sells it here. So, you can imagine my surprise and excitement when I saw this on the Shopping Channel’s website. I immediately placed the order for it.
I was not disappointed at all when this palette arrived on my doorstep a week later. I have been using it every day so far and it’s been a joy to play with. I find that its very similar to the Stila Mind palette, however this one has a lot more lighter shades which I love. I’m so pale that I mostly only utilize the lighter colours in palettes. The dark ones are usually just reserved for lining my eyes. It has a nice range of colors as well. There’s not just neutral toned shadows. Theres a nice mixture of blues, purples, and pinks mixed in subtly.
The other super cool thing about this palette is that it comes with a special shimmering eyeshadow called“Transforming Pearl”. This one can be layered with any of the other shadows to make them sparkly! How handy is that? It’s like having two palettes in one. Oh and I should probably also mention that this palette also comes with a dual-ended eyeshadow brush that I totally forgot to photography. Sorry. But it’s super soft and great quality! It makes this palette a great value at only $42!
So, if you’re like me and you’re sitting here reading this, thinking you have too many matte eyeshadow palettes, I say buy this palette anyways. Because it’s pretty. Do you really need any other reasons? (The answer is no.)
