I feel like my style is very unpredictable in the summer. One day I’m in jeans, t-shirts and sneakers, and the next, I’m dressed like this. It’s weird. There are just days when I want to get a little bit more dressed up. Plus, dresses are just so much more fun (and essential) to wear in the summer. Fun fact: I used to hate dresses. I think I mentioned this on my blog before but, I used to think they were uncomfortable. I didn’t like having to make sure that my dress wouldn’t flip up or I would hate that it hindered me from sitting cross-legged. However, now I would wear dresses every single day if I could. Wait, I can. Maybe I should.

I saw this dress in Zara and I was immediately drawn to it. I kind of bought in on impulse. I was wearing a different dress and had to be at my friend’s birthday dinner in a half hour. I just wasn’t feeling my outfit that day so I was half-heartedly searching for a different outfit I could change into. Low and behold, I found this dress. I loved everything about it. Emerald green is one of my favorite colours; I like to think it brings out my eyes but who knows. Plus it was super flowly and lightweight, perfect for that hot summer day.

Today, I paired it with my nude sandals. I’m so glad I’ve gotten so much wear out of these sandals this season. They always seem to match every single one of my more dressier outfits. Because the dress is more on the simple side, I decided to wear a bit more jewelry. I wore my favorite long Topshop necklace and layered on some rings. I have missed wearing rings lately. I used to wear them so much more! I need to get back into them! I’m also wearing my Marc watch that I got from New York. It’s a beauty.
