A Transitioning Dress

All summer I was looking for a new dress. Something effortless and easy that I could just throw on and be done with my outfit that day. And sure enough, as soon as summer ended, I found the perfect one. But do not fear, luckily, this dress transitions well into the colder weather. I really like this dress. It’s a loose simple shift style with three quarter length sleeves. I don’t even know how to describe the print, so I won’t bother trying, but it’s cool hey? It also come in black. But I really need to start adding more contrast into my outfits so I went with the cool white.

Today I paired my dress with opaque black tights. These tights are from a cool brand called Elsy. But Elsy isn’t just any normal tights company. They are a subscription company in which you can subscribe to getting a pair of tights every single month. Who doesn’t need that? I don’t know about you, but I am so prone to getting runs in my tights so it would be so nice to receive a new pair each month. But, because these tights are such nice quality and luxuriously thick, you might not need a new pair ever month, so there are also options for receiving them every two or three months. And if you sign up at myelsy.com before September 19th (that’s Saturday, you better hurry!), you get 10% off your first month and receive your tights in time for the fall season with the code WHEN10! Plus there’s free shipping which always seals the deal for me.

For the rest of the look, I wore my beloved black booties that blend right in with the whole outfit. Very simple. I like it. My accessories were a bit more bold with my Chanel-lookalike purse that I absolutely love. It was the perfect complement to this outfit. I also wore a statement necklace with cool little baubles on it. This necklace is extremely heavy though and always gives me a sore neck. That’s not fun.

The thing I love most about this dress is how versatile it’s going to be. I’m so excited to start pairing it with other things. I think it will work great as a tunic with my burgundy topshop ripped jeans, my black chelsea boots and of course, my new hat. Won’t that be a cute outfit? I’m excited. Actually, I’m just excited for Autumn in general. I have a feeling it’s going to be both a really good season and a semester and I can’t wait to keep sharing my Fall fashion with you.
