Oh man, I think Fall may have hit. Usually I’m not the biggest fan of when the cold weather arrives, but how can I be mad with all these leaves around me? There’s really nothing I love more than the colorful leaves on the ground. It’s just such a beautiful time. Except, I should probably mention that I always get sick when the seasons change, so guess who is lying in bed sick right now? Let’s just hope I get better before my midterms start next week.

You might remember this shirt that I’m wearing from a couple of months ago. It’s the shirt that I picked up in New York. All day when I was wearing this top, all I could think about was 5th Ave and shopping and Central Park and Chipotle. Somebody please take me back to New York. I got this top from the Topshop there and what a magnificent Topshop it was. The Topshops here in Canada are super lame. They’re connected to The Bay and they don’t have nearly as much of the stock that they have in New York. The Topshop on Fifth Ave blew my mind. It was three stories with a whole level devoted to shoes. Let’s start a petition to build a three-story Topshop in Edmonton. I’m sure that would go over well.

Under this top, I layered a black Zara dress and some super opaque tights from Elsy. I swear this dress gets shorter every time I wear it. I don’t think it’s shrinking but apparently it is. Soon it will just be a shirt on me. For shoes, I’m just wearing the boots that I always wear. Have you guys gotten tired of these booties yet? Well, too bad. They’re the bomb dot com.

I’m really digging the necklace I’m wearing today. I don’t think I’ve ever showcased this one on the blog which is quite unfortunate. Let’s throwback to 16 year old Taylor when I only used to wear this dusty rose colour. All of my friends can attest to this. I was obsessed with this colour. It’s all I wore. So, naturally, I had my eye on this necklace at Aerie for quite some time. Then, on Boxing Day 2011, I finally picked it up on super clearance. I used to wear it all the time and then, as I finally grew out of that pink colour, the necklace was forgotten at the bottom of my jewelry box. But, four years later, I finally wore an outfit that needed that pop of pink so out came this necklace. I’m so glad I remembered it and I have a feeling I will be wearing it a lot more often from now on. It makes me happy to wear it again. It brings back all the memories of high school. It’s weird how many emotions a necklace can bring up. I guess that’s why fashion is so cool sometimes. Trends come and go and then they reappear again, bringing back all the memories.
