This past week, my friends and I took a trip to one of my favorite places in the world (besides New York of course), Canmore. We got an awesome condo in Dead Mans Flat’s and we spent the trip shopping, walking, and of course, eating. The three things I do best.

Back in Edmonton, we’ve been lucky enough to not be graced with snow yet, so it was quite the surprise to see the snow in Canmore. Well, actually it isn’t that surprising, obviously there would be snow in the mountains. Anyways, my body was totally not accustomed to the cold yet and it definitely did not give me something to look forward to with the looming winter season ahead of us.

On the first day in Canmore, I wore this tunic dress from Oak and Fort. I tried to bundle up as much as I could, but unfortunately I definitely did not bring enough sweaters and cardigans with me. Layering just wasn’t an option this trip. However, when shopping the day before in Calgary, I was smart enough to pick up this black scarf from Zara. I have been looking for a black scarf for as long as I can remember. I needed the perfect one, not too big, not too small and luckily, this one is perfect. It’s so cozy too. It definitely helped me keep warm during the trip.

For jeans, I tried to add in a bit of colour with these emerald ones from Vero Moda. You will notice from all my outfits posts in Canmore that I packed strictly all black and white outfits except for these jeans. I guess I was trying to match the scenery. My coat is this black fuzzy wool coat from Forever 21. It’s so warm and big, but it’s starting to pill and collect lint which is hella annoying.

Stayed tuned in the next couple of weeks for the rest of my Canmore roadtrip posts!
