If there’s one thing that I dread about the Winter, it’s the cold air. Actually, there’s a lot of things I dread about Winter, it’s definitely not my favorite season. I’m more of a Fall and Spring kind of girl. But anyways, the cold air that Winter brings is particularly annoying because of the affect it has on my skin. It just dries everything out, especially my lips. Every Winter, my lips get so cracked and dry, it’s horrible. So this year, I went on the search for the miracle lip products that will reverse the damage.
I came across the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in the summer but I really started to appreciate it when winter arrived. I’ve never really used an oil on my lips before. I usually stick to lip balms. But this oil is better than any balm I’ve ever tried! It’s incredibly thick but before you start jumping to conclusions, it’s not sticky at all! From the texture of it, you would totally think it would be a sticky mess, but it slides across my lips so nicely and smoothly.
One of my favorite things about this lip oil is how comforting it is, like it states in the name. When I have such dry lips that hurt, this is the only thing that will actually sooth them. I put it on and I forget about how chapped my lips actually are! Plus, it smells like Honey so if that isn’t the best thing ever, I don’t know what is. Actually that’s a lie. In the summer, Clarins had released a Raspberry scented one that was tinted a pretty rose colour. But unfortunately for me, I didn’t know it was limited edition and I was never able to get my hands on it. Clarins; if you’re reading this, could you send me one pretty please?
The only problem I have with this lip oil is that I haven’t come to the conclusion yet if this oil actually moisturizes my lips long term. It definitely helps my lips temporarily but my lips are still incredibly dry every single morning I wake up. So stay posted as I continue the search for a lip balm that will fix my lips forever… I have a feeling that doesn’t exist.
