Marc Jacobs Style Eye Con No 7 Plush Eyeshadow Palette Review

I couldn’t be more excited to share this palette with you today. If there’s one makeup item that I’ve been wanting for forever, it’s this palette. To sum it all up, this is my dream palette. This is the Style Eye Con No 7 Plush Eyeshadow Palette in #220 The Lover. I got it as a Christmas present from the best boyfriend ever. Literally, the best. Like, which other boyfriend would know exactly what eyeshadow palette I’ve been wanting for as long as I can remember?

I don’t even know where to start talking about this palette. It’s perfect in every way imaginable. For one, Marc Jacobs is my favorite designer and his cosmetics line doesn’t disappoint. The packaging on this palette is so sleek and beautiful. It’s a hard black shiny case with silver detailing and even comes with it’s own‘dustbag’ of sorts. But it’s not just the packaging that is absolutely fantastic, the actual shadows are amazing as well. They’re buttery and pigmented without being too chalky or powdery. Plus they blend extremely well and don’t crease throughout the day. I can confidently say these are the best quality eyeshadows I have ever tried.

My favorite thing about this palette however is probably the selection of shades included. I can’t even begin to tell you how many palettes always include the same range of colours. There’s always the highlight shades, lid shades, crease shades, and liner shades. Every palette by every brand usually has the full collection of light to dark shades. You’re probably thinking that’s usually a good thing, however I hate that. I am so pale. I can’t wear dark shades, nor do I want to. I prefer the more natural, mid-toned shades. So usually I don’t wear half of the colours in other palettes. I focus on the lighter shades and leave the darker ones untouched. However, Marc Jacobs granted all of my wishes with this palette. There is not one dark shade in this palette. I can use all of the colours on a daily basis. There are perfect lid colours (the far left two), crease colours (the far right three) and blending colours (the middle two). All of these shades combine so nicely to create the perfect eye looks every single time. Plus, there is the perfect mix of matte and shimmery shades included. And the shimmery shades aren’t even too shimmery so I feel like I’m still rocking an all-matte eye look. It’s great!
