Fragrances are one of the most personal things you can wear. A scent is so subjective, you could love it or completely hate it. It all depends on your tastes (or in this casw, your nose ;), I’m hilarious). Because of this, Demeter created the perfect fragrance library. On their site, you can find every scent ranging from the classics, like vanilla, cherry blossom, and rose to some more unique scents like Tootsie Roll, pistachio ice cream and even condense milk! There’s so many different scents to choose from! Literally any scent you can think of, you can probably find from Demeter! I personally am extrememly curious to see what the Christmas in New York fragrance would smell like- that’s two of my favorite things!
I got to try two different Foolproof Blending sets from Demeter! These setsinclude various scents that can be combined and blended together in any proportion that are sure to smell awesome together! My favorite set was the Vanilla Base Note Trio. This set included the Hawaiian Vanilla, Angel Food, and Gingerbread fragrances. As you probably know by now, I have the biggest sweet tooth and I absolutely love sweet scents so this set was perfect for me! The Hawaiian Vanilla is very tropical with hints of pineapple, coconut and some floral notes, sweetened with the vanilla. It actually reminds me quite a bit of Malibu rum… and I’m definitely not complaining about that. The Angel Food is my absolute favorite out of the three because it’s the sweetest (duh!). The Gingerbread is also a fun scent with a kick of spice and cinnamon with the vanilla. This trio contains three different perspectives on Vanilla: floral, sweet and spicy so whichever way you mix them, you won’t just have an overly sweet scent; there will be some layers to it! I love it! I especially enjoyed layering the Gingerbread fragrance with the Angel Food! It was the perfect combination for the holiday season.
The next set I tried out was the Duo Custom Fragrance Kit. This one came with simple tools to make blending easier and also included a refillable bottle for blending with a Do-It-Yourself customizable label! You can easily mix together the two scents with the funnel and droppers to create the perfect customized fragrance! I absolutely loved the concept of this kit and I had so much fun mixing together my scent! I am not a huge fan of the floral scents like Lavender and Jasmine, but if you are, then these will be absolutely perfect for you! I will just stick to my vanilla and sickly sweet fragrances!
