First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Lip Therapy Review

I can’t believe I haven’t talked about this First Aid Beauty Lip Balm on my blog before. I took these photos almost four months ago and now I’m almost at the end of the tube. As you may or may not know, I embarked on the search to find the perfect lip balm! And sorry to disappoint, but this one isn’t it. BUT, it’s pretty damn close. Stay tuned for THE perfect lip balm that will be on my blog in a month or so! (Any guess on which one it is?)

Anyways, this is the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Lip Therapy ($12USD/$14CAD)! I spent so long deciding what lip balm to buy from Sephora and this one always seemed to consistently get good reviews! Plus it’s only $12US ($14CAD), so I figured if I hated it, it wouldn’t be the worst thing ever. However, I definitely didn’t hate this one! The first thing I noticed about it was the texture. Although it looks like it’s a thick consistency, it feels so smooth on the lips. It absorbs right in and instantly provides relief to my lips. It’s not thick or gloppy or sticky. I put it on and forget about it, which I love. The rest of the balm is pretty plain. There’s no scent. There’s no gloss. There’s really nothing special. It moisturizes my lips and that’s it. But I wasn’t looking for anything magical in a lip balm except that it effectively moisturizes my lips, which this one definitely does. This lip balm is almost everything I had been looking for except it was missing one very big item on my checklist. Although I find it incredibly moisturizing during the day, I find that when I use this at night, it does absolutely nothing and I still wake up in the morning with dry, chapped lips. But overall, I will continue to use this lip balm and I will definitely re-buy it when I run out of it! I would recommend it as a daily lip balm, just not as a nightly treatment!
