Essence Lippies Review

I am so excited to write another post about Essence Cosmetics today! When I received a few products a while back, I didn’t expect much about the performance of the products. In the past, everything that I tried from Essence was rather average but since then, I have absolutely been loving their new launches!

Essence recently came out with some liquid lipsticks. These are very different from the typical liquid lipsticks that have been so popular lately. The texture is more similar to a lipgloss and doesn’t dry matte, however it still has all the pigmentation and colour of a lipstick! So if you want a more glossy full coverage lip colour, this is definitely the one for you! I tried the shade 02 Beauty Secret and it’s the prettiest mid toned rose. It’s a great transition shade from winter to spring!

Next I tried out one of the new Essence Longlasting Lipstick Nude in the shade 05 Cool Nude. Let me start off by saying this shade is gorgeous. At first glance, I thought this would be way too dark for me, but is the perfect deep nude for my fair skin tone. Plus I love the formula of these lipsticks. They dry to a creamy matte and stay on a surprisingly long time without settling in to dry patches and lines on my lips! For the surprisingly low price of $2.99, these do an exceptional job!

Lastly, I got to test out the Essence XXXL Shine Lipgloss. I have never been the biggest fan of lip glosses. They have always been too sticky and sheer for me to bother with them. However, this lipgloss is heavily pigmented and coats my lips with a smooth gloss. It feels almost moisturizing; definitely not sticky at all!
