Before I start off this post, let’s just sign a pledge to promise to ignore my pale legs. I’ve already started the self-tanning journey but my legs are still more pasty than they are tan. I’m pale, let’s move on.
This is actually the first pair of shorts I’ve worn in 2016! I shaved my legs, I self tanned, I applied shimmery body oil (new obsession) and thus, I decided that it was finally time to wear a pair of shorts in May. There’s actually a funny story behind these shorts and by funny, I mean lame. I got these shorts last summer when I was ordering a pair of shoes online from Forever 21. But you had to spend $30 to get free shipping. And the pair of shoes were only $27. Horrifying right? I wasn’t about to spend $11.95 on shipping. That is my one rule with online shopping. I will never pay for shipping. So instead, I rent to the sale section on website, and found these shorts for $3.99. Just enough to qualify for free shipping. When the package arrived, the shoes were perfect and I didn’t even bother looking at the shorts. They immediately were folded and left to sit in my closet. Now, fast forward to present time. As I was trying to pick out an outfit, I stumbled across these shorts. I tried them on and surprisingly, I didn’t hate them. So I took the tag off and wore them.
For the rest of my outfit, I’m wearing a peplum tee from Boohoo. I would have preferred a plain white tee but sadly, this was all I had to work with. I’m also wearing my trusty sandals from Forever 21 that are at least 7 years old. But they are just perfectly worn in, I just can’t bare to wear anything else especially if I know I am going to be doing a lot of walking. They might look a bit shabby, but they are just so darn comfy. My accessories are pretty plain today, but I am loving this new bracelet I recently got on a shopping trip with my bestie, Niki (HI MISS NIKI). It was on sale for $4.99 at Urban Outfitters and I think it’s going to be my new staple silver bangle (what a steal!).
