April Showers Bring May Flowers

When Spring started to show it’s colours last month, I was having a minor freakout. I felt like I had absolutely no Spring or Summer clothes in my closet and I felt extremely uninspired to shop for anything. And yes, I am aware these are first world problems.

However, my little predicament turned itself around when I spotted this jacket in Zara. (Zara seriously has the best Spring clothes right now, I’m obsessed). At first I thought the colour would look absolutely horrible with my pale, pasty skin but I just loved how unique the shade was so I couldn’t pass it up. Who cares if it’s not the most flattering thing. Because it is such an interesting shade of yellow/green (how would you even describe this colour?), I kept the rest of my outfit plain with white jeans and my favorite white tank. Nothing says Spring like white on white.

I also kept my shoes neutral with these nude lace up Ghilli flats from Old Navy. I seriously can’t say enough how much Old Navy has stepped up (no pun intended) their game lately. These shoes are seriously adorable and the fact that they were under $20 makes it all so much better!

And last but definitely not least, I finished off the outfit with my new purse. GAH. Is this not the cutest purse you have ever seen? Everything about it is absolutely perfect- the colour (it just screams Spring!), the shape, the minimal silver hardware. It’s possibly everything I’ve ever wanted in a purse. And the fact that my boyfriend surprised me with it? I’m starting to think he’s secretly a girl. He is getting way too good at knowing what I like.
