As I mentioned in the first part of this Benefit Brows Review that I posted last week, I had the pleasure of trying out four of the products from Benefit’s newest launch. In part 1, I tested out the Ka-Brow! Cream-Gel Colour and the Browvo! Conditioning Primer. Both were absolutely fantastic and I’ve been using them religiously since I posted that review. Today, I will be sharing my thoughts about the Goof Proof Brow Pencil and the holy grail Gimme Brow Volumizing Fibre Gel!
Goof Proof Brow Pencil
When I first heard about this brow pencil, I wasn’t incredibly excited about it. But before you start getting disappointed, all of my thoughts changed after I tried it. This brow pencil has a custom “goof proof” shaped tip. It’s a teardrop shape so the wide tip fills while the pointed end defines. Plus the pencil is 12-hour, waterproof wear which is always a necessity! You don’t have to worry about touching up your brows throughout the day.
But the best part about the Goof Proof Brow Pencil is the formula. The soft, glide-on colour only sticks to your brow hairs, NOT your skin. This means that you can literally just colour on your brows (outside of the lines even!), but instead of looking too thick and block-like, the pencil will only darken your hairs and fill in the patches. Your brows will look so natural, yet perfectly defined. And because you don’t have to worry about being super precise, this will minimizes the time you have to spend on your brows! When I use this pencil, I spend less than 60 seconds on each eyebrow!
However for those times I want a more bold brow, I love to use this pencil first to darken up my brows and create an outline. Then I will go in with the Ka-Brow! Cream-Gel Colour to really fill them in and make them pop! This brow pencil also comes with a spoolie-brush on the other end, making it the perfect travel or purse product! You will always have everything with you to make your brows look on fleek!
Gimme Brow Volumizing Fibre Gel
This Gimme Brow Volumizing Fibre Gel has always been a classic. Benefit did not change the original formula when redesigning their brow collection. However they did revamp the packaging to match the other nine new products which is absolutely adorable. The silver bullet-like packaging makes this product just that much better! In addition to changing the packaging, they also introduced a new shade. Before, Gimme Brow came in the two shades- light-medium and medium-dark. Now, they switched over to a numbering system with shades #1, #3, and #5. #1 replaces the light-medium, #5 replaces the medium-dark and #3 is the new neutral medium shade!
I have been a huge fan of Gimme Brow ever since I started using it almost two years ago. The brush-on gel contains tiny microfibers that adhere to the skin and hairs creating fullness and definition. I even love using this product as a setting gel because it helps to tame and keep the hairs in place (It is super long wearing and water-resistant!). Like the Goof Proof Brow Pencil, Gimme Brow is such a quick product to use! With just one swipe over the brows, it fills in and defines the shape while adding more volume to the hairs!
