How To Convert Winter Pieces into Summer Pieces

Lately I have been very in to finding ways to switch up my wardrobe. All too often, I get into the routine of wearing the same outfits over and over again. Once I find an outfit I like, I always the wear that same shirt with the same bottoms. I don’t try to make that said top work with a different pair of bottoms. But I’ve recently been trying to make my items more versatile and coordinate better with each other. Because what fun is a really cool shirt if you can only wear it one way? Not much fun, that’s for sure.

You might recognize this striped top from one of my past colder weather outfits; if not, you can refresh your memory here. When I first purchased this top from Topshop, I envisioned wearing it as a long tunic over black jeans or my beloved leather pants. It wasn’t until I was surfing some of my favorite online stores and began craving a shirt dress, that I realized I had a couple of them in my closet. I don’t know why I never thought to wear this top as a dress before, but it makes perfect sense! It’s so cute as a dress. Plus, now I can wear my favorite top all year round and get so many more uses out of it.

Today, I paired it with a pinky nude leather jacket that brings out the subtle pale pink stripes in the shirt dress. For shoes, I wore my tie up ghillie flats from Topshop. These are so painful but so cute. Hopefully, one day I will finally manage to break them in. For accessories, I went with gunmetal jewelry with these dangly chain earrings from Zara and this spiky ring from Oak and Fort.
