In between all the rainstorms we have been having lately, the days have been so hot! Luckily I work in air conditioning all day but on my days off, it’s horrible. The air is so humid and heavy, it just weighs everything down. And we don’t have air conditioning in my house so I’m currently sitting in a puddle of sweat while writing this. Cute.
Jeans are out of the question when it’s this hot so I have been wearing a whole bunch of dresses and skirts this Summer. One of my favorites is this midi dress I am wearing today. For the longest time, I thought I was way too short to be able to pull one of these off, but I think this one from Boohoo is just so darn cute! It’s a nude colour that makes me look even paler than I already am with a cool asymmetrical hemline. I always love the kind of dresses that are layered so they look like you’re wearing a matching top and bottom. They’re so effortless! This dress is so lightweight and breezy with the two slits, making it the perfect Summer dress!
For todays accessories, I’m wearing a cool rose gold and silver statement necklace from H&M. I’m sure I’ve said this before in a past outfit post, but I have been really getting back into statement jewelry! Statement necklaces, earrings, rings, anything goes! To match the necklace, I am just wearing a couple of rose gold stacking rings. I added a couple of black accessories as well to offset the whole nudeness of this outfit with this black purse and my favorite black heels.
Fun story about these shoes. So, I went out one night and I guess the heel cap fell off so one of the shoes didn’t have any grip left on it. I was walking into my garage and I slipped and fell and twisted my ankle. Wait this isn’t even a funny story. I am not going to finish telling it. The end. Hope y’all are having a fantastic summer!
