Well guys, today is the day. This will be the last outfit post of Summer. How did time pass so quickly this year? These four months just flew by. And although I’m going to miss Summer and working full time in the Beauty Boutique, I am definitely itching to go back to school and enter my fourth year of university. That still sounds so weird. How am I old enough to be in my fourth year already? I am two years away from completing my degree. I think I might be old.
So when picking my last Summer outfit for today, I picked out a lot of transition pieces that could easily be incorporated into Fall outfits. This rust colored tank has been one of my favorite tops this Summer. I ordered it on impulse one day when I needed a few more dollars in my shopping cart to get free shipping from Forever 21 and it turned out to be a very good decision! I absolutely love the colour and the split hemline with an added zipper in the back makes this top so effortlessly chic! It will be a great top to pair under comfy cardigans and jackets in the Fall! If this colour doesn’t scream Autumn, I don’t know what does.
Another item that I am super excited to start wearing in the Fall months are these boyfriend jeans. I have had these jeans for years ever since boyfriend jeans first came into popularity. Four years later, they have reached the ideal state of denim. They are super soft, baggy and now, my go-to jeans. I absolutely love boyfriend jeans in the Fall when you can pair them with cute lil’ booties and go for that more“edgy” (sorry for lack of a better word) look.
To keep this look Summery still, I wore my wedges from Nine West. I absolutely hate wedges. I think they are the mullet of all shoes. I just don’t understand why shoe designers would opt for implementing a wedge in a shoe instead of a classic block heel. However, I fell in love with these wedges. If you look at these shoes from the front instead of the side and don’t see the wedge, they’re super cute right? So, I sucked it up and bought my first pair of wedges. I’m not bitter.
