Outfit of the Night

I was recently invited to attend a WCFW fashion show and of course I jumped at the chance to get dressed up. It took me so long to decide on an outfit. I didn’t want to look like I was trying too hard but I also definitely didn’t want to look as if I didn’t try hard enough. It’s a tough balance to find! And to make matters worse, I was dying. Maybe that’s an exaggeration, but I was definitely suffering from a bad cold. I had napped all day, determined to still make it to the fashion show. I had missed out on WCFW last year because I was sick as well, so I knew I had to force myself to go this year.

Because I was sick and drugged up on my cold medicine, I made sure to pick the comfiest (yet still cute) outfit I could find. I love this dress from Boohoo. It might have been my bestpurchase all summer! (Check out how I styled it here for a more casual day). It’s such a versatile piece and it literally feels like you’re just wearing a t-shirt. There’s nothing better! Overtop, I wore my new coat from Zara. I am obsessed with this jacket. I don’t know what it is about it but when I first saw it in Zara, I knew it had to be mine. I instantly started thinking up cute outfits I could wear it with. That’s when you know it’s a winner. My friend, Kevin remarked that I can“make ugly pieces look cute”. Compliment? Insult? Who knows. Nonetheless, I love this jacket.

To tie in the colours on the sleeves of the jacket, I wore these wedges from Nine West. It’s so surprising how much I’ve worn these sandals. They have become perfectly worn in so they’re ultra comfy and they just seem to match so many things in my wardrobe! Such a good buy! In addition, I also wore this large purse that I picked up a few years ago at Shoppers. I don’t wear it toomuch, but when I do, I find it always completes an outfit perfectly!
