I don’t know why, but“It’s Fall Y’all” is one of my favorite things to say once it’s Autumn (surprise there). It just makes me so happy. Who knew three words had the power to do that. But isn’t Fall the prettiest time of the year? I can’t get over how pretty it looks with all the red and orange leaves and the absence of snow (it finally melted again, thank God). I might have been a little premature in my last post in stating that Fall was over and we skipped right over to Winter. It’s looking like we might have a few more weeks of Fall after all! (That rhymed too, I’m sensing a pattern here.)
I have been OBSESSED with aviator jackets for about the past year. And I’m aware that I use the word“obsessed” in almost every post so it probably doesn’t hold much meaning anymore, but I intend it’s full value here. There is nothing I wanted more than an aviator jacket. I fell in love with them when I came across the ever so popular Acne Velocite jackets (if you’re not familiar with them, check it’s full beauty out here), but sadly I did not have $3000 for one. So, I was on the hunt to find a similar dupe. I came across this one at Zara and immediately knew I had to have it. It’s not exactly the same as the Acne ones and it has a different style, but that is okay with me! It’s a shorter jacket with a warm, fluffy fleece interior (that makes it impossible to wear black tops with it) and some pretty gold detailing on the buckles and the zipper. I’ll also link below some other aviator-style jackets below that I’ve had my eye on lately if you want to jump on the bandwagon.
I paired this jacket with a mostly all-black outfit with a plain black sweater, black jeans and a black purse. But to keep the look from going too goth, I added in my favorite suede booties from Old Navy. I have talked about these boots so much over the past year and I’m still shocked that I found them at Old Navy of all places! And good news for y’all! These ones have been long sold out, but Old Navy recently released them again this year in a dark grey colour that I am dying to get my hands on! They will be linked down below! They are the perfect pair of boots. And the price tag just makes them that much better.
