Fresh Holiday 2016

So, a couple days ago, I posted the first of my holiday posts (all about the Fresh Mini Mask Spa) and it made me way too happy. Christmas is just around the corner. Well actually, Christmas is still more than a month away, but you know what is less than a month away? My trip to Vegas. That’s right y’all. This girl is celebrating her 21st in Vegas (not really, I’ve been 21 for almost nine months now). But anyways, this post isn’t about Vegas, it is about the wonderful Christmas sets that Fresh launched this holiday season.

Sugar Lip Seduction Set

This first set initially took my breath away. Seven miniatures of the iconic Fresh tinted lip balms all in one beautiful box? Umm yes please. If there was anything I’d want to be poking out of my stocking on Christmas Day, this would be it. Over the years, I have only tried out two of Fresh’s intensive shade selection so I was definitely pumped to see what other colours they had to offer. For those of you who have never had the pleasure of trying one of these Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments, I’ll quickly give you the run-down. These moisturize, sooth, and protects (with SPF 15) your lips. And with these horrible Alberta winters coming my way, I’ll definitely be making my way through this set.

So let’s go through the shades that are included in this box. First is the classic Sugar Rosé Lip Treatment. If I’m not wrong, this was Fresh’s first shade of the Sugar Lip Treatments and it was included in Sephora’s birthday gifts about 4 years ago, so most of you have probably already tried it. It’s a gorgeous sheer rose tint. Next is Petal which is a pink blossom tint. Tulip is a sheer hot pink tint. Poppy is a bold deep pinkish red (and one of my favorites). Ruby is a sheer shimmery rouge tint that is perfect for the holidays. Berry is a bold flirty berry shade that I actually already owned in the full size, it’s gorgeous! Lastly, Fig is a sheer pearlescent wine tint and is coming in as a close second favorite.

The shades are beautiful. The benefits are beautiful. What could be even more beautiful? The scent. I think the first thing that captured my attention about these lip treatments years ago was how delicious they smell. They smell like lemonade on a hot Summer day (or a cold Winter day in my experience unfortunately). So citrusy and sweet. I just can’t get enough of it.

Stellar gifting advice: if you love this set but can’t think of a friend who needs all seven lippies, split it up and give a couple of each to various friends! It will help make the holidays a little less pricey for you, which I know we all need right now. The economy is hurtin’ y’all.

Sugar Lip Entourage Set

As much as I love the Sugar Lip Treatments, sometimes my lips need something that is a tad bit more moisturizing. And by sometimes, I mean always. And by tad bit, I mean extremely. So, the Sugar Lip Entourage set couldn’t be more perfect for me. It retails for $58 CAD but it’s a $78 value, so once again, it’s a great deal!

It includes five of Fresh’s best selling lip minis. First is the Sugar Nourishing Lip Balm Advanced Therapy. This balm has quickly become my best friend. It’s thick and heavy which is everything I look for in a heavy duty lip balm. Plus, it has anti-aging properties and leaves a soft sheen on your lips. Next is the Sugar Lip Polish which is one of my holy grails. Lip exfoliants are surprisingly super hard to find. Not many brands seem to make them anymore. But luckily, this Fresh one is to die for. It has a rich brown sugar and lemony scent with oils and sugar particles that gently (or not so gently, depending on how you scrub) exfoliates and conditions your lips. It helps remove all that crusty dry skin from your lips. Mmmm, great.

You also get two of Sugar’s miniature Lip Treatments in this set as well. Of course you get the Rosé Tinted Lip Treatment that we already discussed above, but you also get an additional shade that isn’t even included in the Sugar Lip Seduction Set: the Nude Tinted Lip Treatment. This might just be my favorite everyday shade. It’s a sheer shimmery blush nude. I think I might just keep this shade in my backpack or purse as an emergency lip colour. It will come in handy.

The last item in my set has quickly become my favorite. Ugh, I need to stop labelling every single item as my favorite. But, honestly, this one is truly my favorite. It’s theSugar Lip Serum Advanced Therapy. I have been craving a lip serum in my life for who knows how long. But, it just seemed like they didn’t exist. I don’t know why I never checked to see if Fresh would have one. After all, they are the queens of lip treatments. This lip serum is lightweight and moisturizing while it targets visible signs of aging and keeps your lips smooth and soft. Plus, it also doubles
as a primer. I can’t wait to try this under all of my liquid lipsticks so I don’t have burnt hot dog lips as my friend Niki Shoppers affectionately refers to them.
