There is no better way to welcome Spring and the month of March than with pretty pink makeup items from NYX Cosmetics! I’ve been a long time fan of theirs so I’m pretty pumped to share these products with you today! All four of them combine to create the perfect glowy Spring look!
Ombre Blush
I have been eyeing these ombre blushes on the NYX website for the longest time because the whole ombre fading of the shades looked so pretty! However, in person, the ombre effect is much more subtle. I couldn’t even tell that this blush was supposed to be an ombre design which was a slight disappointment. However, the bright pink shade is so pretty and looks amazing on! It really brightens up my face and adds the perfect pop of colour to the apples of my cheeks.
Away We Glow Liquid Highlighter
I have recently been exposed to the world of liquid highlighters. Ever since trying out the Rodial Instaglam Glow highlighter(read review here), I have realized that I don’t actually hate cream highlighters! That was big news to me. Very eye opening. And this NYX Away We Glow highlighter is almostas pretty as my beloved Rodial one(and a much cheaper price point as well!). This one is in the shade #06 Daytime Halo, but there’s NINE different shades which is INSANE. There’s even a gorgeous lilac highlighter! However, there is just one problem. Much like the Rodial highlighter, I got horrible breakouts from this one as well. My skin just really hates liquid highlighters. But they’re so darn pretty. I don’t know what to do.
Soft Matte Lip Cream
The Soft Matte Lip Creams are always a classic from NYX. I think they were one of the first products I ever tried from the brand and they never disappoint. These are like the OG liquid lipsticks. They are a matte finish but they’re super velvety so they don’t dry out the lips. In addition, they have excellent pigmentation. They’re more long lasting than a regular lipstick but because they don’t dry down totally matte, they won’t last as long as your typical liquid lipstick (like the Stila Stay All Day or Kat Von D ones). Mine is in the shade #07 Addis Ababa and is the most gorgeous bright pink! I’m going to be wearing this one all Spring!
Lid Lingerie Eye Tint
When I first opened this package and pulled out this tube, I originally thought it was a NYX lip lingerie which might be my all time favorite liquid lipsticks. However, when I looked closer, I discovered I was totally wrong. This one isn’t meant for your lips, but your eyes! It’s a gorgeous creamy eyeshadow that dries down and doesn’t remain sticky or glossy. The shade, #07 Whimsy, is absolutely gorgeous and it just so happens that I’ve been REALLY enjoying pink eyeshadow lately. However, I was experimenting and I discovered that this Lid Lingerie doesn’t only look good on the eyes. It also can double as a metallic liquid lipstick! You can use it all over your lips or just pat some in the center to add some depth and dimension! It’s a super universal product!
