I have a good ol’ skincare post for y’all today. As you have probably noticed, I take skincare extremely serious ever since my skin decided to betray me in my pre-teen to teen years. And because of that, I have been desperately trying to repair my skin and get it back to a normal state. NeoStrata has played a huge role in that (check out my previous reviews on their Skincare Basics and Beauty Enhancers). But today is all about Radiance and Chemical exfoliators- everything you need to even out your skin tone and texture and add that radiance back in! And for me, a large part of evening out my skin tone is trying to tackle those red marks that my fight with acne left behind.
Skin Renewal Peel Solution
So let’s start with the Skin Renewal Peel Solution. This is my ride or die product and they’ve recently reformulated it to make it even better! But, sadly, I only have the old formula to test out, but it’s still absolutely fantastic. This peel contains 10% glycolic acid and 10% gluconolactone to remove the build-up dead cells on the surface of the skin. By doing so, it evens out your complexion and reveals more radiant skin. It also helps to smooth out your skin and get rid of any little bumps or skin imperfections. It’s an absolutely amazing product for minimizing the appearance of my red marks. I was super scared to try this at first because I wasn’t sure if it would irritate my sensitive skin, but it contains an Amphoteric System that controls the release of the glycolic acid to minimize any irritation and tingling!
But let’s talk about the new formulas now. So there’s no longer just one Skin Renewal Peel Solution. There’s now threedifferent guys! The first is very similar to this one and is still called the Skin Renewal Peel Solution. But there’s also a Brightening Peel Solution that I’m desperate to try with added 5% fruit enzyme to stimulate exfoliation and provide natural hydration to the skin as well as 2% Genowhite™ which provides very fast results in reducing the look of dark spots! The third formula is the Anti-Aging Peel Solution that contains the 5% fruit enzyme as mentioned above as well as a 1.5% potent anti-aging peptide complex to improve skin’s elasticity, increase the look of skin’s thickness and reduce the appearance of wrinkles with a filling action!
Glycolic Renewal Smoothing Cream
The next product is the Glycolic Renewal Smoothing Cream that has, you guessed it, 10% Glycolic acid in it. This can be applied both day and night but if you are a first-time Glycolic acid user, you definitely are going to want to ease yourself into it. So I would recommend starting with just a 5% Glycolic acid encapsulated to build skin tolerance and then slowing building up to the 10% only once a day. Then once your skin is used to it, you can use this product twice a day! But remember to use a good sunscreen overtop during the day because your skin is going to be much more sensitive to the sun. Again, because of the Glycolic Acid,this cream will help to even out your complexion, while moisturizing and removing any build-up of dead cells on the surface of the skin to reveals radiant, younger-looking skin.
Skin Resurfacing Duo
The last product is the Skin Resurfacing Duo. This has always been one of Neostrata’s most popular products and I love recommending it to customers at work! This is a two-step system where you apply the Crystals (in the jar) and massage gently for 1 minute. Then, you can apply the Activator over the Crystals. But if you have particularly sensitive skin like me, it is advised to mix both products in the palm of hand before applying. You then massage the mixture gently for 2 minutes and rinse. It can be used 1-3 times weekly but once again, if you do have sensitive skin, start out with just once a week! I absolutely love this treatment because it’s so quick and easy but you start to see results right away! It exfoliates the superficial layers of the skin to revitalize the complexion and enhance skin clarity! Your skin will be so radiant, perfect for the summer!
