Anti-Black & White

I can’t believe there was ever a time that I shied away from wearing colour. For a short period, I used to gravitate just towards black and white (with a hint of grey of course). But now that Spring has arrived, I couldn’t be more obsessed with colour and that involves tying as many shades of pink into my outfit as I possibly can. Bonus points if it’s a shade of dusty or pastel pink because that shit is my jam.

And to make matters worse (not that they were bad to begin with), with working full time during the summer and having to wear all-black clothing as a uniform (#beautyexpertproblems), I never get to wear colour anymore. So, on those precious days off, I try to wear as much colour as humanly possible. Actually, that’s a huge over-exaggeration. I could be a walking rainbow if I really wanted to be. This ain’t even that much colour.

So let’s start with this pastel pink leather jacket. I picked this up last summer and I’m so glad I did. It’s such a perfect piece for spring. I absolutely adore the colour and the fact that it’s pastel enough, it’s almost a neutral. I could still wear this jacket with different coloured shirts like this mauvey grey one from Boohoo without looking overly colourful. Speaking of this top, I really love it. It looks quite simple from the front but then it has this low, drapey back. It’s super feminine and cute.

For a final pop of colour in my outfit, I’m wearing these super awesome shoes that I found at H&M. They have the long tie-up laces that I absolutely love with a rounded toe and a little block heel. They’re so stinking cute. And before you go thinking that they look like a huge pain to put on and take off everyday, they have a handy lil’ zipper in the back for easy removal. Praise the lord. And the best part? They were on clearance for fifteen bucks. Y’all know how this gal loves a good deal.
