I have been looking for a romper ALLLLLL summer (and all of last summer and all of the summer before that), but I’ve really never had any luck. You know when you’re looking for something, you can never really find it? For example, if you’re looking for a specific style of shoes, you can never find them in any stores but the minute you settle for some other style, you start seeing them everywhere.Or when you’re looking for a boyfriend or to find love, you’re just completely unsuccessful and it feels like you’ll be alone forever but the second you accept your fate and start being happy that you’re single, that special little someone will just pop into your life. Or if you get a huuuuge paycheque and you go shopping because for once, your wallet won’t hate you if you treat yourself, but nothing seems to look good on you and you can’t find a single thing to buy. Y’all relate? I really hope so or else that tangent I just went off on is going to seem really irrelevant. (Also sorry for all those run-on sentences, whoops.) But my point is that as soon as I stopped searching for a romper, this one popped right up in front of me and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
So yeah, I was shopping with my friend Erin (who went back to California because she’s an adult now with an adult job) and we stopped by Winners. I definitely wasn’t planning on buying any clothes, but I came across this romper on the end of a rack and I thought it was too freaking cute (like just look at the little bows on the straps!) to pass it up. I think this might have been the only clothing item I’ve ever bought from Winners (because I never have any luck there). This is the best romper for the hottest days. It’s a super lightweight fabric and it only has one button in the back so it’s super flowy and your back is exposed. It’s a nice little breeze up in there. Plus I love that it’s black so it’s super easy to dress up by laying a nice jacket and heels with it, but you can easily dress it down as well with strappy sandals. For today, I decided to dress it down by adding my favorite sandals. I can’t even tell you how much I love these shoes. They’re a nude colour with a metallic block heel. They’re so comfy and I’ve been wearing them for almost three summers now and they’re still in perfect shape. My only accessories include this pale pink purse that is always my spring staple (because it’s not a spring outfit without something pink, ya feel?) and my staple silver chokers that I can never leave the house without. And if you feel the same way about my chokers, just wait. They’re going to be available for sale really soon.
