Back to School Beauty Favorites

I know, I know, I shouldn’t say it, but, I have to. It’s back to school time. But, with the ending of summer and fall right around the corner, I thought I would put together some of my makeup favorites so you can go back to school looking HOT (just kidding, these products didn’t help up my hotness so no promises). But, let’s all get excited for the start of school with the help of these beauty products!

L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation– This has been the year of me craving radiant, dewy looking skin so I threw away (aka put into storage) all of my matte, full coverage foundations and instead started using this Pro-Glow Foundation. And even though it is more dewy, it still has a good amount of coverage (medium to full coverage) and it’s incredibly long-wearing!

Smashbox Photo Finish Radiance Primer– And to follow along with the glowy skin mentioned above, I have also been using the new Photo Finish Radiance Primer from Smashbox. I know that I’ve hated primers in the past because I thought all they did was block my pores and make me breakout but this one makes my skin look so healthy and radiant and I haven’t noticed any extra breakouts from it. Plus, it gives my skin almost a bronzed, shimmery tint which I absolutely love.

Benefit Hoola Lite Bronzer – This is the bronzer that pale, pasty people have been wishing for for their whole lives. And finally Benefit, the real MVP, came along and created it. It’s so natural on my fair skin and gives me that perfect sunkissed look that just never looked real with any other bronzer. Plus, it’s the perfect eyeshadow crease shade as well. It’s an all-around good product. And it smells real darn yummy.

Lancome Dual-Finish Highlighter (#01 Shimmering Buff) – Oh man, this is one intense highlighter. It’s a super creamy powder (you could almost mistake it as a cream formula at first) and you can use it dry OR wet! I love using it with a fan brush for more of a natural look, but if you use it with the included sponge and use it wet, it creates a serious blinding glow. There’s five gorgeous shades, including a rose gold and a peach that I need to get my hands on ASAP.

Mac x Samantha Ravndahl Lipstick – If you read my review on this lipstick, you know how much it means to me because I love Samantha Ravndahl thatmuch. But apart from my love for her, I also have an extreme love for this lipstick because it is the perfect pinky nude that I have been looking for my entire life. I probably should have bought a second backup of this shade because once I run out, I am going to die.

Bite Lip Pencil (#022) – And going along with my love for a good pinky nude lip, this lipliner is the one to accompany every nude lipstick I own. The formula is so creamy and moisturizing, but it’s also long wearing and great for lining and defining my lips. I’ve never actually used up a lipliner but I think this will be the exception.

Pur Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick (Oh Bae) – I’ve been avoiding matte lips for a couple of months now, but when I do want something more matte and long wearing, this is the liquid lipstick I go for. It’s a mousse-y formula that won’t dry out your lips at all. I can literally wear this all day and my lips won’t be cracking and flaking at all by the end of the night! It’s definitely one of the only liquid lipsticks I can stand wearing anymore.

Smashbox Cover Shot Matte Eyeshadow Palette – This palette is so little and mini, therefore making it the essential eyeshadow palette to take with me on the go. It has eight perfect matte shades that have the potential to create so many great, but simple eye looks. The two lightest shades are great for all over the lid while the neutral brows always work fantastically in the crease. It’s definitely not the most unique palette, but it does it’s job very well indeed.

Benefit Boi-ing Airbrush Concealer – I’ve been having so many hormonal breakouts lately; my skin looks like a warzone. It’s not cute. So I’ve been turning to this concealer to give a bit of coverage. It’s definitely not a full coverage concealer but it does it’s job well and hides the redness while also appearing super natural and not looking like I have all this cakey makeup on. Plus it’s super long-wearing and waterproof so it doesn’t budge.

Dior Diorshow Pump n’ Volume Mascara – I’m still entirely amazed that I actually like this mascara and it didn’t turn out to be the clumpy mess I completely expected it to be give. It’s give so much length and volume to my lashes. I’ve had so many people asking me if I’m wearing false lashes when I wear this mascara. That’s the sign that this mascara is a definite keeper.
