Hard Candy FW17 Launches

I got to try out some new launches from Hard Candy and I was pumped to give them a try. I’ve always been a big fan of their products, especially since they’re available at such a reasonable price point. Because I’m a broke college student and makeup is the last thing I should be spending my money on. I say that as I run a makeup blog… oops.

The first thing are these two lipsticks from Hard Candy’s new matte line! I know I have been saying that I’m drifting further and further away from the whole matte look lately, but maybe with Winter coming closer, I am beginning to like it again. And it definitely helps that this colours are to die for. The deep purple in Matte Crave is so beautiful for the Fall and the dusty pale pink is me in a lipstick shade. It’s the perfect cool toned pinky nude. I’m obsessed to say the least. The formula is extremely matte so make sure your lips are moisturized before applying so they sit comfortably because these are extremely long wearing!

The next product is this Sheer Envy Illuminating Setting Spray and my oh my, this is everything that I’ve been needing in my life. I’ve recently been using the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray and while that stuff is heavy-duty, I sometimes don’t like the finish it gives my skin. It’s just a lil’ too matte. This one however, has radiance pearls and coconut oil to hydrate and give my skin a luminous, glowy look. And when I say, glowy, I mean GLOWY. This spray gives you an instant highlight all over you face. It’s intense. But in a good way. The Stay in Line mechanical gel eyeliner has also been a hit in my life. It’s waterproof and promises a 12 hour wear times so it’s the best thing to put in my waterline for those long days at school. Plus the creamy gel formula glides on my lids effortlessly. Because if there’s one thing I hate, it’s a eyeliner that doesn’t go on smoothly and pulls my skin.

The Sheer Envy Bake, Brighten and Set Loose Finishing Powder (wowza that name is a mouthful) already has a review up on ze blog so head over this way to hear my thoughts on that one (spoiler: it’s great at preventing any creasing under my eyes although a tad dark for my pale pasty skin in the Winter). The last product I tried out is the Non-touring Glamour Duo. This incredible duo contains a highlighting shimmer stick on one end with a cream brightener on the other. The highlighter stick is absolutely amazing with fine silver shimmer and a few speckles of larger glitter to really give you that blinding highlight. The cream side is a matte highlighter that instantly brightens your skin (apply under your eyes, down the bridge of your nose, center of forehead and on cupid’s bow) for that natural contouring look. However, the pinky peach hue is a tiny bit dark for my skin so I have mostly stuck to the lighter, shimmery side of this duo instead.
