How To Not Freeze Your Butt Off This Winter

A few days ago I had my last class of the semester and boy, oh boy, does it feel good. Now I just have to get through Finals in the next two weeks (Yes, my last exam isn’t until the 21st UGH) and then I’ll be free to celebrate Christmas. I have been feeling so darn festive this year and my love for the holidays has grown larger (if that’s even possible). I am going to doallthe Christmas festivities this year (even if it kills me, because that includes ice skating and gingerbread house making). I just can’t wait.

I feel like this outfit is one I always pull out for the holidays. It’s casual yet chic. Simple yet festive. Cute yet comfy. It’s an all around good outfit in my opinion. I got this sweatshirt dress last year from Forever 21 for under $10 (!!!) and it’s probably the comfiest purchase I ever made. It’s lined with the softest fleece and it’s actually super cute when it’s not covered up by a jacket. It has a long exposed zipper in the back with three quarter length bell sleeves. It’s a great, versatile piece.

This dress is a great length to pair with over the knee boots. Plus, over the knee boots are the perfect item to wear in the winter because it adds that much needed extra warmth to your legs. I am such a baby when it’s cold so if I’m gonna be wearing a dress, I need to be as warm as can be. For my jacket, I wore this plaid oversized coat from Simons that I think ties in the colours from my khaki boots and grey dress perfectly. It helps two colours that normally wouldn’t complement each other, go together. It creates a perfect harmony.

Also, quick side note. I need to stop wearing my hair in a ponytail and being lazy. I go through this time in between my haircuts when I’m not excited about my hair so ponytails become my go-to. But it’s gettin’ real old and boring. Just thought y’all should know. Adios amigos. Until next time. Peace.
