I feel like perfume is one of the most popular gifts to give around Christmas and the holidays, however it can be so darn hard to find the perfect one for that special someone you’re shopping for. However, the newest fragrance in Prada’s Candy line is absolutely amazing and perfect for anyone who’s a fan of sweet and fruity scents AKA me.
This is the Prada Candy Gloss fragrance and to be honest, when this first launched in the summer, I hated it. But as I smelled it more and more at work, I quickly fell head over heels for it. It’s so unique and when someone’s wearing it, I instantly know that it’s this one. I love a fragrance that I can do that with. If you’re a fan of the Prada Candy range, you know that the original, the L’Eau, the Kiss and the Florale versions are all very sweet. And this one definitely falls in line with that. After all, they are called Prada Candy.
However, even though this one is very sweet like the rest of the Prada Candy family, it doesn’t smell anything like it’s sisters. It’s incredibly fruity with hints of rose and musk. The fruity notes are made up of cherry and orange blossom. At first thought, I wouldn’t think cherry and orange would compliment each other, but the sourness of the cherry and the freshness of the citrus surprisingly go well together. It’s a damn good combination.
My favorite thing about giving fragrances as gifts around the holidays is that all the fragrance companies come out with the cutest gift sets for Christmas! This particular one includes the full size Candy gloss (80ml) with a gorgeous body lotion (75ml) and a mini travel size of the fragrance, perfect for throwing into your purse.
