HELLO FRIENDS. I have done it. I have finished my last exam and it went wonderfully so I’m officially on Christmas break. It hasn’t quite hit me yet but when I wake up tomorrow and don’t have to look at any accounting statements or practice problems, I have a feeling I’m going to be incredibly happy! Now I just have the stress of trying to find those last minute Christmas presents since I was too busy studying to get my shopping out of the way any earlier. (By the way. any ideas on what to get your dad for Christmas? Because I’m STUMPED.)
This winter, I’ve been really into buying new coats for my wardrobe. My two favorite things about winter clothing are jackets and sweaters aka necessities for Edmonton weather so I always seem to go a lil’ overboard once the cold weather hits. I’ve bought a total of three cold weather jackets this year and honestly, I don’t even think that’s outrageously bad. (One of them is the most beautiful coat from Club Monaco that will be on the blog after Christmas so watch out for that).
I got this jacket on Black Friday (which seems to be when I bought the majority of my clothing this winter because I reference this day in ever #OOTD blog post) and I got it for a crazy good deal. I have been obsessed with the whole puffer jacket trend, but let’s face it, they’re not exactly my style. Or so I thought until I spotted this one online. A rose gold puffer jacket with a cute high low hem?! Umm yes please.
When this jacket came in the mail, I was so surprised at how lightweight and thin it is which makes it perfect for layering over sweaters (like this one from Gap that I also got on Black Friday) without looking too bulky. On the website, it promises that this puffer gives a good deal of warmth but I don’t know if they were talking about that relative to Edmonton winters or Vancouver winters because this jacket doesn’t cut it for anything less than 0°C unfortunately. But maybe, just maybe, this will be better for weather in February or March when It’s turning to spring (I can’t wait, I’m over this whole winter thang).
