It was way too cold to take photos outside today, so we had to be a lil’ creative and find someplace indoors to shoot. The most logical place was the University of Alberta campus because 1) nobody is there on a Sunday and 2) Oakley lovescampus. He has been wandering around the buildings since he was just a wee lil’ puppers, so naturally, he was happy to accompany me in my photos. Or maybe Iwas accompanying him. Hmmm.
So this whole outfit started out with me realizing that I haven’t worn this hat in forever, 2 years in fact (peep the last blog post here). I used to love this hat. They’re definitely nowhere near as trendy as they used to be now that Baker Boy hats have taken over the world (but I really need one). However, I thought I would try to bring back in style because my hair desperately needed a hat today. Fun fact: I even only had to curl the two front pieces of my hair. That’s why hats are fantastic. They just hide all the ugliness.
So, to compliment this reddish, burnt orange hat, I wore one of my favorite tops from Aritzia. I picked up this off-the-shoulder top a little while ago and it wasn’t the style that drew my eye. It was the pattern. I just love the fabric so much. I think it’s the prettiest floral print ever. It’s so unlike anything else I own, which is definitely a plus for me. Plus it’s a super good transition top. I can wear it in the fall (or winter), but it’s also going to be gorgeous in the spring. I have the outfits planned already.
The rest of my outfit is pretty standard to be honest. Black Jeans. Black Boots. Cream Oakley. One thing is not like the other. I have to go board a flight now. See y’all back in Edmonton.
