In my Skincare Favorites of 2017 post that went up in January, I raved about how much the Reversa Radiance Cream changed my life. And it truly did. With the Vitamin C and 4% Glycolic Acid, it helped fade my acne marks faster than any other product. It was a true game-changer. Upon seeing that post, Reversa wanted me to try out the rest of their line so they sent over a package containing some other products specially suited for my skin type and I was so pumped to give them all a try.
First is a couple of products from their ACNEX line. The Acnex Purifying Solution ($29CAD) contains 2% salicylic acid and 10% glycolic acid and was recommended for me to use on problem areas both day and night. It unclogs pores and well as reducing the number and severity of pimples while preventing new ones from forming. This product is definitely a great starter product for helping clear up acne. It’s partner in crime in the line is the Acnex Mattifying Moisturizer ($29CAD) that also contains glycolic acid and salicylic acid but in a lower concentration. This moisturizer helps to absorb excess oil and reduce shin while also hydrating deeply into the skin. Because I have drier skin and don’t need the mattifying action everywhere, I just apply this to my problem areas morning and night to let the salicylic acid work it’s magic.
A product that I’ve been digging using as an overnight mask is the Reversa Resurfacing Smoothing Cream ($40CAD). This one contains a whopping 10% glycolic acid that helps to improve skin texture, minimize pores and even out the complexion, including, you guessed it, acne marks. Whoohoo! It’s also formulated with hyaluronic acid and aloe vera so it’s super hydrating and soothing on the skin! I only use this cream as mask a couple times a week because my skin is a lil’ more sensitive than normal but I really do see a brighter, resurfaced texture and tone after I use it!
The last addition to my new skincare routine is the Reversa Anti-Spot Night Care ($41CAD). This is one of the products that I’ve been dying to try after I fell in love with the Radiance Cream. It’s basically the Radiance Cream’s little sister. Actually, older brother would be a more accurate term. I apply this night cream every evening. It contains plant and kiwi fruit extracts that work together to reduce the production of melanin (the brown pigment that gives spots their colour), andglycolic acid to exfoliate and moisturize the skin.
But with any time you’re using a glycolic acid, a good sunscreen is super duper important as AHAs make your skin even more sensitive to the sun. That’s why I love using the Radiance Cream ($49CAD) every morning because it contains SPF30 so it protects my skin from the sun while helping fade my acne marks over time! It really is the perfect product. So that sums up my review of my new Reversa skincare routine! I’ve been super happy with how all the products have been working together to both clear up my breakouts as well as fading the marks left from them! It’s the best of both worlds, y’all.
