Wow. Wow. Wow. I am done school. Not just for the summer. But for my entire life. (That’s probably a lie, we all know I’ll start missing school and go back to get my MBA sooner than later). It just feels so weird to have graduated. These past five years have flown by. It was definitely a life changing journey. I am going to get on that job hunting soon, but for now I’m relaxing and chilling with my pup and enjoying summer because I deserve it (I think).
So as soon as I finished my last final of my undergrad, I went to Southgate (a local mall in Edmonton) for the Hillberg and Berk media party to celebrate the store opening. I am in love with Hillberg and Berk jewelry so I couldn’t have been more excited to check out their new store in Edmonton (which is absolutely gorgeous by the way – go check it out ASAP). But with any blogger event, I’m always a little bit less than certain about what to wear. Do I go classy and sophisticated or do I go full-on trendy? Because I was coming straight from school after my last exam, I went for a mix between the two.
I paired this gorgeous trench from Aritzia with my new converse sneaks’. Weird. I know. Converse??? With a trench??? I would usually say no. But I absolutely loved the way the grey from both the jacket and the shoes matched. It gave me that monochromatic vibe. I really did feel like a trendy blogger that day. A sophisticated trendy blogger might I add. To break up the monochromes (because I can’t do a full on monochromatic look – I ain’t thattrendy), I added this dusty rose pair of pants from Zara that I wasn’t able to wear all winter (for obvious reasons). I love these pants. They’re flowy and comfy but look so gorgeous with this trench. And to complete the outfit, I stuck with this neutral beige sleeveless sweater that I found in my mom’s closet last summer. It’s a great piece.
And speaking of Hillberg and Berk, I picked up this gorgeous pair of earrings (along with a necklace that you will see in a future #OOTD). These are probably the prettiest pair of earrings I have ever laid my eyes on. They are the Sparkle Ball Stud Earrings in the colour Champagne Fade in the 10mm size. I have never seen something so sparkly. They come in a huge variety of colours (I also have my eye on the rose gold pair and the limited edition Lustre ones). And as just a final note to leave on, next weekend is Mother’s Day. These make a fantastic Mother’s Day gift. Just saying. Treat yo’ mama.
