You know what I’ve been realizing this past month or so? Leggings rock. I used to never wear leggings unless I was actually working out (which is rare) or I was just sitting at home chillin’ (like a villain). Don’t get me wrong, I love leggings and I don’t judge anyone who wears them daily but I just never thought they fit in with my style. But damn, leggings are so comfy. And there’s so many ways that you can dress them up a bit. You don’t only have to wear them with hoodies. I’m sure that’s not news to you but that is sure news to me. I’m behind the times, I guess.
One of my favorite outfit incorporating leggings is to just throw them on with a bomber jacket, slides and a baseball hat. Yes, very basic but very chill and comfy. But this outfit today definitely takes the cake for ultimate comfort. This whole outfit is from C’est Moi Clothing, a Toronto-based company that has recently captured my heart because of their superb quality and gorgeous fabrics.
So since this post is seemingly all about leggings, let’s talk about the C’est Moi leggings first. Not only are these leggings made of a super thick poly-spandex blend, but the thing that captured my heart is that they’re REVERSIBLE. Reversible leggings?! What a world we live in. No but seriously, reversible leggings are life-changing. One side of these leggings is a funky black and grey print (visit their website to view) and the other is this solid grey colour! But that’s not all! These leggings also have a mesh panel down both of the legs so they’re airy and breezy during the summer! And as an extra bonus, there’s a little pocket in the waistband. C’est Moi really thought of everything.
To pair with the leggings, I’m wearing this knot t-shirt and knit cardigan also from C’est Moi. I am obsessed with this shirt and need all of the colours ASAP. It has the cutest knot detailing in the front to perfect that effortlessly casual look. But that’s just the beggining. What makes this top the ultimate winner is the fabric. It’s made from bamboo cotton which offers so many benefits! First of all, it’s unbelievably soft. So silky and smooth! Plus, it’s UV resistant (AKA perfect for Mexico, I’m already planning to wear this on the flight there), hypoallergenic and has thermo-control technology, meaning it’s going to keep you cool all summer long! All of my t-shirts need to be made out of bamboo cotton. It’s decided.
The knit side slit cardigan I wore overtop is also going to be one of my summer staples this year! I can’t even count the times I have worn this since I got it. It’s so lightweight and thin but it’s the perfect piece for if you need a bit of a second layer during those summer evenings! Whether you’re going on a hike or sitting around a bonfire at night, this cardigan comes in handy so many times! Plus, the side slits in this cardigan makes it flow so nicely around the body and gives a nice shape!
