Benefit Brow Contour Pro

This product release caught me totally blindsided. Usually I am pretty up to date with all the new makeup products coming out thanks to Instagram and Youtube all the influencers (like @trendmood1 on ig), so it always shocks me when a product is released and I have never seen it before. But sometimes, that’s all part of the fun of new makeup! You need those little unexpected surprises!

This is the BRAND-STINKIN’-NEW Brow Contour Pro ($42CAD) and it rounds out the huuuuuge Benefit Brow lineup. They have over TEN totally different brow products. That’s insane. They are the queen of brows. Ever since their big brow launch a couple of years ago, I was left wondering what more they could add to the collection later on. It seemed like the range was complete and nothing else existed. But boy oh boy, I was wrong. Benefit outdid themselves yet again in their creativity.

The Benefit Brow Contour Pro is a 4-in-1 Defining and Highlighting Brow Pencil. And if you’re thinking“hey Taylor, that sure looks like one of those multi-colour pens I used to write with in Elementary school that made all the peeps jealous”, you’re totally right. This brow pencil is a fun take on those old-school pens and honestly, I’m living for it. An easy way to combine all four brow products into a tiny, travel-friendly container? It’s truly genius. You already know I’m gonna be keeping this in my purse for brow touchups throughout the day.

There are four FULL-SIZED pencils inside the Benefit Brow Contour Pro that you can easily alternate between with the slide of the button and with a simple twist, you can twist up for more product! The first two shades are a lighter and darker brow pencil so you can start with the lighter shade at the front of your brows and end with the deeper shade towards the tails of your brows for that perfect natural gradient! The third shade is a“definer” shade to define and clean the edges of your brows and the fourth shade is the lightest“highlight shade” to highlight beneath the arches! It’s literally everything you need for those perfect contoured “Instagram” brows with definition and dimension!

But I’m sure you’re thinking that this brow pencil is really only meant for pale blondes like myself but that’s where you’re wrong. Luckily, Benefit decided to not be an idiot and released shades for every skintone and hair colour. (Finally makeup brands are jumping on the inclusivity bandwagon!) There are five combinations in total. The first is Blond-Light which is the one I have for blond hair and light skintones. Then, there is Brown-Light for brown hair colours and light skin, Brown-Medium for brown hair and medium skintones, Brown/Black-Light for dark hair and light skin and lastly, Brown/Black-Deep for both dark hair and deep skintones!

The Benefit Brow Contour Pro will be available August 10th at Sephora and Shoppers Drug Mart all across Canada, retailing for $42CAD.
