Zoella Splash Botanics

We’re back again with another collection from Zoella Beauty! Zoella (AKA Zoe Sugg) has one of the cutest lifestyle and beauty lines ever and I’m always excited to see what she’s going to come up with next. In the past I have reviewed her permanent line (blog post here) and her Jelly & Gelato line (blog post here). Both collections featured the cutest, girliest packaging I could dream of. And the new Splash Botanics line is no exception.

The Splash Botanics line features an array of palm leafs and tropical flower printed packaging with a fresh and floral scent to match. And like Zoella’s other collections, the products are much more exciting than your usual bath and body products. There’s items like a Bath Soak, Body Sorbet and Bath Millk. So much more exciting than your usual body wash. If that doesn’t make you want to take a bath, I don’t know what will. Zoella Beauty: encouraging more people to take baths one Bath Milk at a time. (Great slogan, Taylor)

I got to try a couple of items from the Zoella Splash Botanics line and my skin has been thanking me ever since. First up is the Quench Me Body Sorbet. This is a tub of the most delightfully smelling lotion. Usually in the summer, I avoid body creams at all cost in fear that I will just sweat them off throughout the day and become a sticky mess by the end. However this Body Sorbet is more of a lightweight gel that instantly absorbs into the skin and leaves me feeling refreshed and hydrated. It contains coconut water and lychee so you can just imagine how good this smells. Lychee has become one of my favorite flavours (and scents) ever since I had the most delightful white chocolate lychee tart in Mexico, so every-time I spread this lotion on my legs, I’m reminded of that heavenly meal. And now you will be too.

Next is the So Soft Lip Oil. Lip oils are always a necessity in my life as I have the world’s driest lips. I have to reapply lip balm at least 10 times daily or else my lips will shrivel up and die. No exaggeration. It’s quite sad. Hence when I saw Zoella had included a lip oil in her Splash Botanics line, I knew I needed it ASAP. It is an incredibly lightweight formula without a sticky texture (v important) so it absorbs quickly and leaves my lips feeling moisturized and smooth. It is enriched with a conditioning blend of sweet almond, jojoba, and argan oils so it’s extremely nourishing and hydrating. It has a light cherry scent that I thought I would hate. Usually anything cherry scented reminds me of cough syrup and throat lozenges however this is such a subtle, sweet cherry scent, I actually really like it! It’s a miracle!

This collection is available at London Drugs in store and online.
