Why does fall have to come and go so darn quickly? These photos were taken just a couple of weeks ago and now the outside looks nothing like this. Gone are the colourful leaves. It’s all been replaced by a blanket of white and yup, you guessed it. I am freezing. I really can’t handle the snow. It seems like the whole city just shuts down when it snows. For a whole six months of winter in Edmonton, traffic is terrible, my buses are an hour late, I slip and slide when walking anywhere and driving anywhere. If I could live somewhere that didn’t snow (AKA Vancouver), I would move there in a heartbeat because I am done with this nonsense.
But let’s ignore how snowy everything is right now and focus on what was once autumn in these photos. I recently went to the Workhall warehouse sale last month and I am so excited to show you what I picked up! Workhall is a local boutique here in Edmonton and they’re one of my favorite stores. They make all their clothing in-house so they’re not just another fast-fashion kind of store. And all of their pieces are absolutely stunning. So of course, I was overjoyed when they contacted me to collaborate in promoting their upcoming warehouse sale last month! I’ve been to their warehouse sale twice now and it’s always a fun time! This year, I picked up only one thing because I’m trying to reign in my shopping obsession but I absolutely love what I bought! It’s this long duster jacket in the prettiest rusty pink colour. It’s such a Taylor jacket. Plus I got it for half off so it was definitely a steal!
For the rest of the outfit, I wore a striped button-down longline shirt from Topshop that I picked up in New York a couple of years back with this tank top that is also from Workhall! It was actually the first piece I ever bought from Workhallfive yearsago! See! I am a dedicated Workhall fan! For pants, I’m wearing my coated denim pants that give off that cool leather look. I wear these waaay too much but they’re just the perfect pair of pants, okay?
So here’s to hoping that maybe the snow will melt sometime this month and we will get a couple more weeks of fall before winter decides it’s here to stay. Everyone, cross your fingers. I need some positive thinking up in here!
