Taylor?! In mustard yellow?! That’s unheard of! That’s right, folks. I’ve added yet another mustard yellow sweater to my wardrobe and to say it’s not my favorite item ever would be the biggest lie in the world. Because I love this sweater. A lot.As far as I’m concerned, H&M does the best yellow sweaters. In particular, mustard yellow sweaters. I actually already picked up a mustard yellow sweater from them last year (see #ootd here), but can you ever have too many mustard yellow sweaters?! The answer is HELL NAH. Hell to the no. Hell freakin’ no. Okay, Taylor, we get it. Let’s move on.

Okay, I promise I will move on from the wonderful world of mustard yellow in just one second after I finish clearly stating why exactly I love this sweater so much. First of all, it’s such a chunky knit. And chunky knits equals warmth.And warmth equals a very happy Taylor indeed. Second, it’s slightly cropped so it hits at a super flattering point on my body. Third, it’s the ultimate turtleneck height. The turtleneck isn’t too high so I don’t feel like I’m constantly being suffocated throughout the day but it’s also high enough that it keeps my neck toasty warm and it ain’t no mockneck-wannabe-turtleneck (ya feel?). No sore throats for this gal.
Why whenever I talk about mustard yellow, do I adopt this sassy, sarcastic persona? The mustard yellow just brings out the best in me, I guess.
Ooh but guys. We aren’t done raving about things I love yet. We still need to talk about these boots. Oomph. Is oomph a word? Say it with me. OOOOOOooooomp. There we go. Oomph, I love these boots. I have been wanting a shiny, patent leather pair of boots for ages now. And recently, Nordstrom Rack opened up here in Edmonton. Now, I’ve been to Nordstrom Rack in New York and it was great. But my expectations for it’s Canadian counterpart were definitely low. When Saks Off Fifth opened up here, it… sucked. Sorry for being blunt. But it was a huge letdown. And pessimistic me just figured Nordstrom Rack would be the same. However, Nordstrom Rack blew my expectations out of the water. It knocked my socks off. It has officially become my new shopping destination with all my favorite brands and actually great deals! Not even those fake deals where they pretend the item used to be much more expensive (when it’s not) and you’re getting this greeeeaat (read: not great) discount. Long story short: I love Nordstrom Rack. So I found these Kendall and Kylie boots there and if my memory is correct, Kendall and Kylie boots cost a pretty penny. We’re talking $200CAD and up. So when I saw the most perfect pair of boots at a perfect price, I was overjoyed. They have the sharpest pointy toe (which is my ultimate obsession in a boot) with a cute, trendy round heel and gunmetal studs lining the back. They are a stunner.
