Nars Little Fetishes (Holiday 2018)

Have I evertalked about Nars on ze blog before?! The answer is no and I’m honestly shocked. Nars makes so many beautiful products and yet I don’t own anything from the brand (until now). When I was in Vancouver last month, I stumbled into a Shoppers Drug Mart. Actually, I should say I purposefully tracked down every single Shoppers in Vancouver because I have an obsession. Would it really be a vacation if I didn’t visit a new Shoppers? No, no it wouldn’t be. I just love Shoppers Drug Mart, okay? Okay. Anyways this Shoppers in Yaletown had Nars which was super exciting because Nars isn’t carried at any of the Shoppers in Edmonton. And thus, finding it at the Shoppers in Yaletown meant I could use my employee discount on Nars, whoohoo! I love saving money. Even though that was offset by BC’s outrageous provincial sales tax, UGH!

I spotted the Nars holiday collection first and they were sold out of all of the sets except for this Little Fetishes Blush and Highlighter set ($32CAD/$24USD)! Blush is one of my favorite makeup products ever and I’ve been meaning to pick up a mini highlighter so this set couldn’t have been a more perfect thing for me to pick up in Vancouver! Inside the cute little plastic tin, you get a mini blush and highlighting powder. The blush is 3.5 grams and the highlighter is 4.2 grams which is about half the size of a regular blush from Nars and a third of a highlighter size! It’s estimated at a $43 value which honestly isn’t the best deal but it’s still a great way to try out a couple of Nars products so I was content!

Both shades in the Little Fetishes set are permanent colors so if I end up using these up, I’m glad they will be available for re-purchase in their full sizes! The blush is in the shade Dolce Vita which I was ecstatic about! I have been wanting to try this particular shade for years. It’s a deep dusty rose that almost goes a little burgundy on my super pale skin! Although it says it’s matte online, mine definitely has a subtle shimmer throughout which I ain’t mad about. I do love a good shimmery blush. The highlighter is so gorgeous as well in the shade Capri. It’s a super pale champagne with the teeniest hint of a pink pearl sheen to it. It’s definitely not the most blinding, glittery, shiniest highlight I have ever seen but to be completely honest, I am so over that whole over-the-top highlight look. I’d much rather a more subtle highlight so this one is perfect for me. Plus, it’s actually light enough for my pale skin which is always a huge bonus for me! All in all, I was extremely pleased with this little set and if you can find it anywhere, even though Christmas is over, I would highly recommend picking it up!
