I am the queen of mascaras. There’s no denying that. I take my eyelashes extremely seriously. I have quite long curly lashes. People sometimes mistake that for thinking it doesn’t matter what mascara I use. However, it’s actually the opposite. With the wrong mascara, my eyelashes can go from normal lashes to clumpy strands that are facing in all opposite directions. It’s a mess.
I have been trying out the Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara for the past month and a half. This mascara promises to be both lengthening and volumizing. This definitely wasn’t one of my favourite mascaras. I’ve heard a few good things about it but it really didn’t achieve what I wanted. I’ll start with the negatives first. I didn’t see any dramatic improvement in length. As for volume, it only came in the form of clumps, which is one of my biggest frustrations of mascaras. However, there was still a few things I liked. This formula is a very deep black. If you are looking for the darkest lashes, this is a great one for you. Also, this mascara doesn’t flake throughout the day. It’s long lasting without being waterproof. For someone who can’t stand waterproof mascaras, this is a great alternative.
Overall, i would recommend this as a layering mascara. Put this over a lash defining mascara so you still have definition but also a deep black smoky look to your lashes. I don’t think it’s anything special on it’s own.
