  • I’m a bit late on the whole Maybelline Baby Lips review. Okay, more than a bit late, I’m really late on this whole things. Let’s start with a bit of background first. Boxing Day 2011: The Maybelline Baby Lips had finally hit Canada so I made my friend (Oh hey Megan) drive me around to every Shoppers Drug Mart until I finally found them.

I picked up the Grape Vine and Cherry Me scents and I really liked them. These are a true tinted lip balm. They are fairly moisturizing. I would never use these in place of a normal lip balm but they are hydrating compared to a regular lip stick or even the Revlon lip butters. As for color, these aren’t too pigmented, which is surprisingly nice. They are a simple swipe of color. You don’t need a mirror to apply them and they look very natural. The Cherry Me one comes out a sheer rosy tone while the Grape Vine one is more of a sheer berry color.

A few months ago, I also received the Peach Kiss one. This one is my least favorite color of the two but I really like the scent of it. It’s a shimmery golden peach color that doesn’t show up much on your lips. The Cherry Me and Grape Vine colors are definitely the most visible on your lips out of the three.

All in all, I think the Maybelline Baby Lips are definitely a fabulous product. They are great for throwing in your purse to quickly touch up your lips throughout the day. Plus, they have been coming out with so many cute variations lately like the Dr. Remedy balms and the Electro ones.
