  • Being a teenager living in the boring city of Edmonton, I rarely get the chance to dress up so sometimes it’s fun just to put on a fancy skirt and enjoy the sunny weather.

This skirt is from Bel and Beau, which is also a lovely blog run by the gorgeous Isobel. I chose the “Miss” Mini Skirt in the emerald color. It is made out of taffeta, resulting in a very gorgeous, voluminous silhouette. It is such a beautiful skirt and is available in both differing lengths and colors. On top, I wore one of my favorite blouses from Elizabeth and Clarke. It is a sleeveless style, making it comfortable for summer and also making it very easy to dress up or down.

As for accessories, I kept it similar with a mint necklace that contrasted nicely with the emerald and black, a couple of bracelets, and of course my monogrammed clutch, I feel very southern with the preppy skirt and the monograms! For shoes, I wore my beloved Bloch flats.

I feel like my sunglasses complete this dressed-up look perfectly! They are inspired by the iconic Prada sunglasses that are to die for! They have huge tortoiseshell round lenses with the focus being on the sides which have a gorgeous swirled design.

    I feel like a little kid playing dress-up. It’s a good day.
