  • Make It Yourself Monday: Spider Cookies

    image

For my Make It Yourself Monday this week, I will be showing you how to make some adorable spider cookies. How cute are these? I hope you are in the Halloween spirit because I sure am.These cookies are some of the easiest and quickest cookies you’ll ever make. I am definitely no professional baker so I am positive all of y’all will be able to bake these. And yes, there are only three ingredients in these cookies.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 Cup Kraft Light Smooth Peanut Butter
    • ½ Cup Sugar
    • 1 LargeEgg
    • 12 Lindt Truffles
    • Melted Dark Chocolate Chips or Chocolate Icing
    • White Chocolate Chips

    Directions:

    • Heat oven to 325ºF.
    • Mix ingredients (peanut butter, sugar and egg) until blended.
    • Rollinto 12 (2-inch) balls. Place, 2 inches apart, on baking sheets. Do not flatten, cookies will flatten on their own.
    • Bake 15 min. Cool on baking sheets 5 min. Remove to wire racks. Let cool until almost room temperature.

    • Press a Lindt truffle into the centre of each cookie
    • Melt chocolate chips in the microwave for 30 seconds, place in a plastic baggie, snip a hole in the corner and use the baggie to pipe 8 legs onto each cookies
    • Using the melted chocolate also adhere two white chocolate chips to the truffle as eyes and pipe two tiny brown dots with the chocolate for the pupils.
