  • Normally as Spring rolls around, I start digging out my collection of bright pink lipsticks. For as long as I can remember, ever since I started wearing lipstick, I have gravitated towards pink shades. Light pinks, hot pinks, baby pinks. But now that I’m a twenty year old, my love of pink has to stop. I’m kidding, I will never stop loving pink lips. But, I have added a few more lipsticks to my list of favourites and expanded my tastes.

From top to bottom, left to right:

Benefit Rumor Lipstick- Gabbi: (mauve)This one has some really nice purple-mauve tones to it. It makes it a much more unique colour than the regular nudes and pinks I reach for.

Quo Lipstick- #6: (medium nude)There’s not much to say about this one. It’s not too special, but yet that makes it even more special. It’s just a natural nude, an everyday colour.

Pur Minerals Lipstick- Spice Cake: (reddish dark nude)This is what I like to call my Kylie Jenner colour. It’s the perfect reddish brown colour. Can I just be Kylie Jenner now?

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy- #440 Irresistible: (dark nude)This is the darkest nude I have in my collection. It’s a lovely winter and fall colour but I am also loving it as a transition colour into Spring.

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick- #08: (reddish medium nude)This colour is very similar to the Pur Minerals lipstick above. I often switch off between these ones on an everyday basis. I have a hard time trying to decide which one to use for that day.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick- #070 Airy Fairy: (pale pinkish nude)This was one of the first lipsticks I ever bought. It was such a cult favourite of everyone’s at the time. But it sat in my drawer for the longest time, never touched. I recently dug it up and I have been loving it ever since.

Maybelline Matte Lipstick- #655 Daringly Nude: (light matte nude)This was the lipstick that made me fall in love with nudes. For the longest time, I thought I couldn’t pull of pale nudes because I, myself, am so pale. But there’s something about this one that just works. Plus, it’s matte which I love.

Pur Minerals Lipstick- Fashionista: (brightmid-tonepink)This is the newest addition to my family of pink lipsticks. I have a whole review on it here. It’s not too bright but it still adds a nice amount of colour to my lips.

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy- #230 Infamous: (hot neon pink)This will forever be my favorite pink lipstick. It’s one of the brightest pinks I own and the formula is amazing. It’s perfect.

So there they are. The best set of lipsticks ever. I am quite convinced that these are the only lipsticks I will be wearing for spring. I might pull out a few more pinks once it grows closer to summer. But for now, I am quite content with these nine lipsticks.
