  • This is my first Outfit of the Day post since I’ve gotten back to Edmonton from New York and it makes me a little bit sad to be standing in my original scenery in my backyard. I would have much rather stood in front of the Brooklyn Bridge or the Statue of Liberty, but whatever. We’ll just have to make do with the boring Edmonton environments.

Zara was having their semi-annual sale, which is quite possibly my favorite sale ever. I always take the opportunity to stock up on a bunch of thing. Surprisingly, I didn’t purchase a huge amount this year. Maybe it’s because I just got back from my shopping spree in New York or maybe I’m just finally realizing I don’t need any more clothes. Nah, that’s ridiculous.

Anyways, I picked up this shirt at the Zara sale and I’m a big fan of it. We had these really cute denim shirts at Aritzia when I was working there, but as usual, they were overpriced. So when I saw this white chambray shirt at Zara for only $30 (might have been $40, not too sure), I was very pleased! It’s such a cute cropped style and the white colour goes so nicely with blue jeans. I’ve always been a fan of denim on denim.

Oooh and let’s have a look at my earrings for a second. I always feel like my earring game is severely lacking. I don’t have a good assortment of them anymore to go with my style. I found these cool triangular marble studs in Topshop and I immediately fell in love. There was also a cool blue version with silver detailing, but I really liked the white marble. When I first showed these to my boyfriend, he hated them, but I think he is finally learning to like them, thank goodness.

Another favorite of mine is this watch that I picked up in New York. This is the Marc by Marc Jacobs Baker watch in Dirty Martini. I have been wanting this watch for about three years now (remember when it was in my December Style Wishlist?). So naturally, when I was in the actual Marc Jacobs store in New York on Bleecker Street, I decided it was the perfect time to finally buy it. I just love the taupe face with the silver. It’s so elegant and classic.
