  • I have always been a huge fan of Korean makeup, well actually, Asian makeup in general. From my very limited experience, I’ve always found their products to be much better and way cuter. But sadly, living in Edmonton, we don’t have access to a huge amount of Asian makeup. However The Face Shop opened up in West Edmonton Mall and it’s filled to the brim with asian makeup and they were nice enough to send me some products to try out!

My favorite thing I was sent from The Face Shop is definitely this super cool Ink Lipquid Lip Stain in the colour, Pink Scarf Rose. This has quickly become one of my favorite lip products for a number of reasons. First, it’s a stain so I don’t have to re-apply this constantly throughout the day. That’s always a nice thing. Second, I just love this colour. It’s the brightest baby pink with peach undertones. Third, the brush is shaped so uniquely. The wand is super curved with a point at the top, designed to line your lips for the perfect application. Last but definitely not least, it has a 12-hour moisturizing serum effect. The 70% moisture base keeps my lips moisturized for hours! It seriously feels like you’re just applying water to your lips. I love it.

This cream is super cool too! I swear Asian products are just so innovative and unique, it amazes me! This cream is the BlanClouding White Moisture Cream and it was inspired by a cloud. Yes, a cloud. Who doesn’t want to put a cloud on their face? So basically, this cream was made using‘Cloud Processing’ which actually imitates the actual formation of a cloud. Just as clouds are formed with dense water vapour, the cream is also designed to enrich the skin with it’s white, elastic texture! It hydrates the skin inside and out, with a gradual brightening effect. I know that usually brightening cream are popular within the Asian cultures, but I absolutely love brightening creams as well! I find that they make the red marks left over from my acne less visible. And as an added bonus, this product is formulated with fair-trade ingredients, so both you and your skin will feel good using it!

As you have probably figured out by now, I usually only wear matte eyeshadows. That has all changed with this palette. Yes that’s right, this palette is making me love shimmery shadows again. This is the Face It Artist Touch Palette in #03. I just love the combination of these shadows. It’s the perfect everyday eyeshadow palette. All four colours produce the prettiest eye look! Plus, I find with more glittery shadows, they can usually be chalky but not these ones! These shadows are so silky and smooth and blend effortlessly because of t
he Multi Injection Wet Processing technology. This technology creates a moisturized and soft formulation for perfectly applied eyeshadow! These aren’t just your basic shadows!

I never really wear false lashes. But with Halloween nearing, it’s the perfect time to wear these guys! I’ll be working this Halloween unfortunately, but it will definitely be fun to do my makeup all fancy and wear these for work this year! I’ll be sure to let you know how these turn out.

So that sums up my thoughts on The Face Shop. I’m super impressed with all their products and I definitely want to try out some more things from there. If you haven’t checked out their store yet, you really should. They have tons of sheet face masks that I have been dying to try! It’s such a fun store to look around in!
