  • Nioxin Hair System Kit Review

So, for the past couple of months, I’ve kind of had an obsession with finding shampoos and hair products that would make my hair look fuller. I don’t have thin hair, but it does tend to be more on the fine side, so I’ve been really liking products that make it look a bit thicker and fuller. I havw tried the L’oreal Fibralogy Lineand the Garnier Fructis Full and Plush line in the past. And while both products did an exceptional job at making my hair appear thicker, there was a huge problem with both of those lines. They made my hair extremely dry. And I would much rather have finer healthy strands of hair than dry thick strands so I ditched those products.

This now takes me to today’s post. I recently got the chance to try the Nioxin Hair System Kit. And by recently, I mean 6 months ago. I may have forgotten to post this way back in the summer, hence the grass background. We definitely don’t have pretty grass outside right now. And I definitely wouldn’t be able to take product photos outside right now. Or I guess I could. Everything (including me) would just get very cold and wet. I hate snow. And winter. But anyways, even though this post is long overdue, it’s actually a good thing. It just means that I’ve had plenty of time to gather my full opinion and thoughts on it. So let’s continue with the review!

I received the Nioxin Hair System Kit for Normal to thin-looking hair, in particular, fine hair. The set includes the Nioxin Cleanserwhich is basically the shampoo of the set. It says it helps to remove follicle-clogging sebum, fatty acid and environmental residues from the scalp skin and hair. It cleanses to provide thicker-looking hair. In my words: It removes all the residue from my scalp to ensure my hair follicles aren’t clogged and it can grow healthily! This is especially helpful when I use dry shampoo because it removes all that extra gunk off of my scalp! I recently heard that dry shampoo can lead to hair thinning because it clogs the follicles so this shampoo will help plenty with that!

The next part in the system is the conditioner. This is the Scalp Therapy which is a lightweight conditioner that helps to provide hair resilience and control moisture balance for normal-to thin hair. It helps prevent breakage in the strands while also moisturizing it. What I like most about this product is that it isn’t a heavy moisturizer, but it also doesn’t dry out my hair, so it provides my hair with the perfect amount of moisture! The last part in this system is the Scalp Treatment which is like a liquid-y serum that you apply to the scalp after you shower, when your hair is still damp. It contains antioxidants, botanicals, and peppermint oil that feels so revitalizing and refreshing!

The Nioxin Hair System utilizes 3 specialized technologies designed to create thicker-denser looking hair. First, BioAMP helps to increase the fullness of each hair strand and strengthens against damage and breakage. The Transactive Delivery System helps clean away follicle-clogging sebum and environmental residues from the scalp skin, leaving the scalp feeling clean and refreshed. Finally, Activ- Renewal helps to cleanse and provide a refreshed scalp environment and healthy shine to natural hair!

I have been so please with this Nioxin kit. My hair feels so healthy and refreshed. It’s definitely the best line I have tried that helps with thickness. It doesn’t dry out my hair at all, which is usually how volumizing products work. You take the moisture out of the hair strands and bam! You get volume! But this line works in such a more scientific way that repairs the hair strands and starts at the scalp to produce thicker and denser-looking hair! I love it!
