  • It Cosmetics My Sculpted Face Contour Palette

I know that the biggest trend in makeup right now is contouring. It doesn’t take a beauty blogger to realize that. But, I just couldn’t force myself to get into the trend for the longest time. I have such pale skin so I just found that every bronzer looked far too orange and fake for me. There was just nothing natural about it. But my whole world turned upside down when I saw this contour palette on Glambot. I am a huge fan of It Cosmetics (check out one of my favorite palettes here), but I have never even heard of this palette. And I’m very confused why this palette isn’t a bigger deal in the contour world. Everyone talks about the Kat Von D Shade + Light palette or the Smashbox one or the Anastasia Beverly Hills palette but there really hasn’t been any word about this It Cosmetics My Sculpted Face Palette.

But, I have a feeling this palette is going to get a lot more popular in the upcoming months because it is truly amazing. The palette comes with six highlighting, bronzing and contouring shades. The two highlighers are absolutely perfect for a fair skin tone! The first is a matte white which I have been loving using to bake my undereye concealer (baking is my new favorite makeup trick by the way). The second is a gorgeous shimmery pinkish cream that looks so gorgeous on the cheekbones, down the nose and on the cupid’s bow.

The two shades that I would consider bronzers are the far left ones. They’re a bit more warm toned. I have never been one for bronzers but these do work fabulously for my neck to help my foundation match a little bit more. Did I mention I am the palest person ever? But the contour shades are definitely my favorite. The lighter of the two is my holy grail colour. It’s the prettiest cool toned brown that has a little bit of pink mixed in. It is seriously the perfect contour shade for me. It’s not too light and it’s definitely not too dark. The deepest contour shade is definitely too dark for me but I have been loving using it as an eyeshadow. That’s another good thing about this palette, all of the shades work great on the eyes as well if you want a natural, matte eye look!

You’re probably wondering how I was able to find this palette seeing as I’m Canadian and unfortunately there’s nowhere in Canada that sells It Cosmetics. I actually got this palette off of Glambot! If you haven’t seen my previous review on Glambot, check it out here! In short, it’s basically a consignment store for cosmetics that sells gently used makeup that has been properly and safely sanitized. It’s a great site especially for Canadians for finding makeup that you wouldn’t otherwise be able to get in Canada!
