  • Clarins Mission Perfection Serum Review

I seriously couldn’t wait to get this review up for all of you! But before I jump into this product, I just wanted to give you an update about my skin so y’all are caught up! So, as you should probably know by now, I have had horrible acne for the large majority of my life. I think I got my first pimple in grade 5 when I was like 11, and it got so much worse from there. I tried so many products and my confidence severely suffered every year in which my acne didn’t improve. Then, my skin and my brain finally clicked and we were able to get rid of my acne for good. (I will be doing a full skincare post on how I got rid of my acne!) I still breakout every once in a while, but I couldn’t care less! My skin has improved so much so I’m happy. However, although the pimples are gone, they left behind the angriest red marks. So, my obsession went from finding the best acne products to finding the best dark spot minimizers. I tried so many in the beginning and while each helped a little, nothing had a big enough effect until Clarins released their new Mission Perfection Serum. And this is when the review starts.

When this Mission Perfection Serum first launched, the amount of positive reviews pouring in on the web were outstanding. People were sharing their stories in which this serum faded their sun spots and age spots within a week. It was unlike anything I had ever heard before. That was when I knew that I needed to give this serum a try ASAP. So as soon as the serum came in at Shoppers Drug Mart, I got a sample and tried it out immediately. I wasn’t sure if it was because of all the good things I heard and I was just imagining the results, but my acne marks immediately looked less red and noticeable. So I picked up the full size of the serum and I have been using it both day and night every single day. And I am so pleased to report that it’s still working great! Although there are still red marks on my cheeks, they are so much lighter and smaller. I don’t expect them to disappear yet. After all, I’ve had acne for 10 years of my life so why would this all be reversed by a serum in 3 weeks? I’m patient. I’m willing to wait a bit longer. I have full faith in this product that it will help to rid my red marks completely eventually.

When looking at the list of ingredients in this serum, you’ll be very surprised to note the absence of active ingredients that are usually in dark spot corrector treatments. Instead, this serum contains ingredients like Acerola extract, Hexylresoricinol, Gingko biloba extract and soft fruit acids. That’s basically it. No vitamin C, noHydroquinone, no Retina A, no AHA or BHA. Everything I knew about the skin and science was proven wrong by this serum. It shouldn’t work so well, but it does.

To finish off this review, I just want to reinstate how much I love this serum. It’s really changing my life. I don’t think I’ve ever been this pleased with my skin in over 10 years. It’s such an amazing feeling to have. So, if you buy one thing that I’ve recommended on this blog, buy this Mission Perfection Serum. Well, only buy it if you have trouble with dark spots, if not, then you don’t really need this serum. Actually, this serum also helps with brightening the skin in general, it has pigment perfectors that instantly illuminate the complexion while evening it out! So, basically this serum is perfect for everyone and you need it NOW.
